Are you ready for an active vacation?
If you visit the Pelješac peninsula you will have a fun time for sure!
The Peljesac peninsula is the second largest Croatian peninsula located in the south of Croatia in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Since it is a peninsula, it has excellent transport links.
The name Pelješac is most likely derived from the name of a hill above the town of Orebić, which is Pelisac. This is a relatively new name for the peninsula. Throughout history, other names have been used such as Stonski Rat, Puncta Stagni, Ponta di Stagno and Sabbioncello.
