We set out on a two-day tour of Syrmia, we chose the Syrmia II cycle path, which takes us along the following route: Opatovac – Lovas – Tovarnik – Nijemci – Otok – Bošnjaci
When we have arrived in the municipality of Nijemce, we are halfway behind us, where we first go to our Robinson accommodation in “Kuzmin Salaš”. It is 3.5 km from the Nijemci, near the Bosut River. “Kuzmin Salaš” has a modern interior with ethnic elements. We get water and electricity from generators.
A short bike ride takes us to Nijemci, where a prepared canoe awaits us. We change the pedals with an oar. Our canoe glides down the Bosut River. Impressions from a completely new perspective, we observe flora and fauna. We return to the starting point by canoe. In the place along the river Bosut, there is the Arboretum Park. Pavilions, benches, a fountain, a pergola, a real little paradise. From the arboretum over the Bosut river we reach the center dvopn Nijemci. We visit the 14th century Church of St. Catherine proudly standing on the prehistoric site of Gradina. In the nearby local museum “Luka Natali” there is an exhibition that faithfully depicts the historical history of the place from its beginnings through the Middle Ages to more recent history. An interesting part of the museum is the so-called “Grandma’s Room” decorated in a traditional style with details from the past.
We go to our Robinson accommodation “Kuzmin Salas” for the night.
After breakfast we first go to the excursion site Sopotac, I hope you have brought binoculars, because many birds will tempt you to observe them. The resort has a beautiful view of the forests, fields and the Bosut River, is equipped with a pavilion, a themed children’s playground and a viewing platform.
Strengthened by nature, we get on our bikes and continue our route to Otok and Bošnjaci.
Bring food, there is a cafe and shop in town
