Gorski Kotar is a destination for nature lovers and active vacationers

Fužine is located in the south-west of the Gorski Kotar, on the Zagreb-Rijeka motorway and is only 30 km from the sea. From Fužine it is another 5 minutes by car to the Vrelo cave. The Vrelo Cave is the main tourist attraction in Fužine. The cave is a total of 300 meters long and 180 meters of hiking trails have been set up for visitors. The tour lasts 30 minutes, where the visitors immerse themselves in the karst soil, the scenes are fairytale-like and unfamiliar, in words indescribable, they have to be seen and felt.
In the immediate vicinity of Fužine there are three beautiful lakes, Bajer, Lepenice and Potkoš. All three enchants with their beauty and it is difficult to decide which one to visit. We give the lake Bajer a small advantage, because along the hiking trail around the lake we have several restaurants that provide us with drinks and food.
An exciting afternoon awaits us in the amusement and paintball park. It is located in Vrata near Fužine (500 meters from the Vrata exit on the Rijeka-Zagreb motorway). The amusement park offers many spot activities where there is a suitable activity for every visitor: paintball, adrenaline park, archery, zipline, artificial rock, etc.
After an active day, accommodation, dinner and a well-deserved break follow.

Breakfast. The path leads us to the family farm “Zeleni san” it is a small farm in the heart of Gorski kotar, in the village of Lič. The farm’s initial activity was cattle breeding, later berry growing and tourism. Here we find a real small zoo, especially children like to stay on the property. You will have the opportunity to see the farm, explore plants and animals (horses, llamas, mini goats, donkeys, peacocks …)
The recommendation for lunch is the hunter’s hut / restaurant Arnika. Family atmosphere, healthy and home-made food from the area.
After two active days in the magical environment of Gorski Kotar, full of impressions and heavy hearts, we made our way home.
