Municipality of Nijemci and Syrmi, abundance of water from the rivers Bosuta and Spačva and oak forests

We arrive in Nijemce, a rural place through which the Bosut River flows. In the center of the settlement is the local museum “Luka Natali”, where an introduction to the historical history of this area follows, from the beginnings through the Middle Ages to more recent history. In the place along the banks of the Bosut River, there is the Arboretum Park. Pavilions, benches, a fountain, a pergola, a real little paradise.
Next to the arboretum is the dock of the boat “Sveta Katarina”, on the banks of the Bosut river. Get on board, we will drive to the excursion destination Sopotac.

Breakfast in the garden, the relaxed rural atmosphere of our accommodation brings back memories from the time of our grandparents.
But, now is the time to leave, Otočki Virovi are waiting for us.
When we arrive, we visit the bio-ecological education center on the banks of Virovo.
We recommend a walk along the “Virovi” nature trail. There are information boards along the nature trail with interesting data on this area and characteristic animal and plant species. In the center we visit a multimedia hall, which allows the visitor to experience the natural heritage of the Spačva forests in an interactive, multimedia and very entertaining way through the unique Eyes of Nature concept.
