Let’s discover the excursion destination Sopotac next to the municipality of Nijemci, ride the Bosut river with the Srijem I and II bicycle route, see this traditional place in Srijem in a modern way by bike and boat.
We propose two options for cyclists:

– Bicycle route Srijem II (40 km in one direction) Opatovac, Lovas, Tovarnik, Nijemci (halfway – Sopotac excursion place, boat trip with the boat “Sveta Katarina”), continuation Otok, Bošnjaci
– Circle cycle path: Srijem I, start in Vinkovci, Nuštar, Vukovar, in Vukovar switch to the Danube cycle path towards Sotin, Optaovac, in Opatovac switch to Srijem II, Lovas, Tovarnik, Nijemci (halfway – Sopotac excursion spot, boat trip “Sveta Katarina”), Otok, in Otok change to Srijem I in the direction of Privlaka, Mirkovci and end in Vinkovci. The length of the route is about 100 km.

Halfway there, we stop at the Sopotac excursion site near Nijemci. Surrounded by arable land, farms and the river Bosut, near the forest, this resort is an ideal place to get away from it all, relax for body and soul. Bring binoculars and watch the many species of birds.
We park our bikes at the excursion site and move towards Nijemci. The route is 5 km long. On the way we come across 30 information boards that deal with the topic of flora, fauna and the municipality of Nijemci. The path can be mastered in an hour, 6 smart benches are set up along the way, for a short break or simply to take in the impressions of this beautiful area.

Once in Nijemci, we will visit the arboretum in the center of the city and discover what a traditional Srijem garden looks like.

Next to the arboretum is the dock of the boat “Sveta Katarina”, on the banks of the Bosut river. Get on board, we will drive back to the excursion site Sopotac.
Experience the tranquility that the Bosut River offers on your trip with the tourist boat “Sveta Katarina”. The boat offers the opportunity for river adventures, bird, animal and plant viewing. In the summer months the boat runs according to the regular timetable and in the other months depending on the order.
You can also experience the hidden corners of the Spačva forest and the mystical rivers Bosut and Spačva from a canoe.
We leave the boat, say goodbye to this idyll along the Bosut River and cycle on our chosen route.
