Southern traces of Pitomača

Arrive in the morning in this small, but picturesque place Grabrovnica, situated in the municipality of Pitomača. First, we will visit the birthplace and Petar Preradović Interpretation Center. Here we will get acquainted with the life and works of the writer through multimedia and interactive content. Among other things you can see and experience 3D reconstruction of his birthplace, meet him in holographic form, write with a goose pen and ink, use multi-touch screens, and much more.

After sightseeing, it’s time for lunch as we head off to the nearby Otrovanec. The family estate “Zlatni klas” faithfully preserves the tradition and autochthony of local cuisines. They have also created a local brand from Podravina nettle and will be more than happy to prepare soups, noodles, cakes, pastries, and bread from it.

“Zlatni klas” offer accommodation as well, each of every 5 rooms tells a story for itself. One of the beautiful bathrooms, due to its specific tiles, elegance, and spaciousness, was named “Šeherazada” among the guests.
