Varaždin a weekend for young and old

We are in an ideal location because the watch shift is every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in front of the town hall. The Varaždin Citizens Guard will end the program with a cannon shot at 12.00 p.m. punctually.

As befits the first Croatian capital, Varaždin was guarded for two and a half centuries by the Varaždin Citizens Guard, which received its first known statute from the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa in 1750. It is an honor to be a member of the Varaždin Civil Guard. Only a native Varaždin who is proud of his honor can become a member.
