VARAŽDIN CRAFTS AND WHEELS – IN THE PAST AND TODAY

Arrive in the morning in Varaždin, the cradle of industrious craftsmen and merchants who settled next to the medieval fortress at the crossroads of ancient Roman roads. First we go to the Square of Traditional Crafts. In this beautiful corner of the city we have the opportunity to see Varaždin craftsmen (hat makers, gingerbread makers, blacksmiths, art potters and shoemakers) exhibiting their handicrafts. In the immediate vicinity is Plikas Hof, where the actual “distribution of metal” is hidden. In the local artist’s courtyard is an impressive collection of unusual sculptures, installations, tools and bicycles.
There is no shortage of such collections in Varaždin. The next interesting place is the museum collection of vintage cars and old technology. An enviable number of unique items ranging from motorcycles and bicycles to machinery and equipment have been collected and restored here.

After breakfast we take a city tour and discover the hidden details of the city. We will check if the Grgurr Ninski square really brings luck, we will sit on the throne and feel like royalty for a moment and discover the meaning of the figures or “roommates” on the streets of Varaždin.
