Wine history in “Meridiana Slavonica”(lat. South Slavonia – communities Brodski Stupnik, Oriovac and Nova Kapela)

You will get to know the great wine region of Meridiana Slavonica. The main variety of the Slavonian regions is “Graševina”, and there are also the following varieties: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Traminer, Silvanac Grün, Rhein-Riesling, Rizvanac, Kerner, Moslavac, ZelenacWeisser Süss, Frankovka, Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah.
Here are the ideal conditions for viticulture, which is confirmed by various awards that the wineries are increasingly receiving for their wines.
We start our wine story at the Čaldarević winery. The winery is located in Oriovac, has 2 hectares of vineyards, one third of which is Chardonnay. They have a family tradition in winemaking that goes back over 100 years. Wine tasting in a relaxed atmosphere.
Continued, we went to the next vintner.
OPG Grozdanović, also from Oriovac. The young winemaker and oenologist produces Graševina of the highest quality.
We also taste these wines.
Happy and happy we made our way to our accommodation Stupnički dvori in Brodski Stupnik, only 6 km from Oriovac. Lunch is waiting for us there.

In the afternoon we organized a tour of the vineyards and cellars and, above all, attractive tastings of the best Croatian wines.
This is followed by dinner, free time and overnight.

Breakfast and start a new oenological adventure in Oriovac in the family business Vuckovic. The family farms have 4 hectares of red Cabarnet Sauvignon grapes and half a hectare of Graševina. Of course, a wine tasting follows.
The next stop is the Jurković winery and winery in Brodski Stupnik. Quality Graševina, Chardonnay, Rheinriesling and top burgundy are part of the winery’s offer.
We taste the host’s wines in a pleasant atmosphere.
We return to our accommodation, free time, dinner and overnight.

Breakfast and departure. Before we go home, we will visit Malino, only 8 km from Brodski Stupnik.
Excursion site and theme park Pavletić is a combination of the collaboration between a family farm, which offers visitors local products and local traditional dishes, and the association “Arteco”. Arteco is the name of an association that deals with the production of various sculptures from different natural materials, mostly from grapevines. The association exhibited its works in the theme park in Malino, within the family business Pavletić.
